Chocolate Chip Cookies - Eggless

A recipe that I found on Sharmis Passions.  I like the slightly chewy cookie, but these were ( I did not follow the recipe totally - there was less butter ) - unintentionally a little firmer. It was a bit like the shortcrust biscuit that A got for us one day.   And no one was complaining.

Ingredients:
All Purpose Flour - 1 cup
Icing Sugar - 1/3 cup
Butter - 1/3 cup
Chocolate chips - 1/3 cup
Vanilla essence - 1/2 tsp
Baking powder and soda - 1/2 tsp each
Milk - if necessary - a tbsp

Sieve the flour with baking powder and soda.  Keep aside
Cream butter and sugar
Add the vanilla essence. Mix
Add the flour to the creamed mixture.
Mix to form a soft dough.
Add milk here if the dough is too dry or does not come together easily.
And now the chocolate chips.  Blend in evenly.

Form small round balls of dough
Pre heat the oven to 180C
Grease a baking tray.
Flatten the balls and place on the tray.  The biscuits do not spread much so they can be placed not too far apart.
Bake for 20-25 minutes till golden brown.
Remove and cool for 10-15 minutes.
