Chikudukaya (Indian Broad Beans) Curry


Broad Beans – 200 gms

Onions -1
Maggi Bhuna Masala – 1 pack *
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
Chili powder – 1 tsp ( acc to taste)
Oil – 1 tbsp
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Curry leaves - few
Salt to taste

*In the absence of Maggi Bhuna Masala - fry onion in a little oil. When it browns, add tomato. Sauté. Then grind to paste. You will also need to add ginger-garlic paste 1/2 tsp.

Wash, string the beans.
Cut into ½ inch pieces
Take a wok. Heat oil
Add the cumin seeds, when they brown, add the curry leaves
And the onions. Sauté
And the beans.
Put the Maggi Bhuna Masla
And the rest of the powders.
Add water, salt to taste.
Cover and cook till the beans are tender.
