Missi Roti - Roti with Spinach

This is a wholesome roti and can be considered a meal in itself - has the cereal ( wheat flour), pulse ( chickpea flour - besan), leafy vegetable ( spinach). Can be eaten with various accompaniments.

Ingredients:
Wheat Flour (Atta) - 1 cup
Chickpea Flour (Besan) - 1/4 cup
Spinach purée - 1 cup - (I had earlier blanched spinach, ground to purée without addition of water, and stored it in the refrigerator)
Salt - to taste
Chilie powder - to taste ( 1 1/2 tsp approx or less)
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Ginger- Garlic paste - 1/2 tsp

In a bowl add all the ingredients - makes a colourful picture

You may not need to add any water since the spinach has some moisture. If required some water may be sprinkled while making the dough.

The mixture is then rolled into rotis

And roasted on a pan - tawa

Eat with just about anything - raita, chutney, pickle, dal, jam, cheese spread.  Whatever!
