Dunkin' Donuts ( Indian Variety) - Rasa Vada

Vadas dunked in Rasam!
Vadas: ( for 2)
Udad dhal - 1/2 cup
Green chillies - 1 large
Salt.
Oil for frying.

Soak urad dhal overnight or even 3-4 hours will do.
Grind to fine paste ( with the right amount of water - not too thick nor should it be watery. Thick batter will result in hard vadas, and too much water might hinder vada making -and besides it absorbs excess oil). While grinding add chillie and salt.
For better taste, small pieces of coconut, diced onion, crushed pepper may be added. Do not add full pepper as it may explode while frying.
Heat oil and make tiny vadas and fry. Drain.
Place in serving bowl and pour rasam or sambar ( sambar should be slightly dilute)
Garnish with corriander.
Vadas can also be eaten plain. like this, with chutney or sambar
