Chow Chow ( Bengaluru Katrikaya) Curry

Chow Chow - 3 medium
Red chillies - 4-5
Coconut - 1/4
Bengal gram dhal - 2 tbsp
Dhania seeds - 2 tbsp
Curry leaves
Mustard seeds
Salt to taste

Cut Chow Chow into even small pieces
Roast dhania,red chillies, bengal gram. Grind with coconut to coarse powder.

Take some oil in a pan and add the mustard seeds.
After they splutter add the curry leaves and Chow Chow. Saute for a while.
Add water. Allow Chow Chow to cook.
When half done, add the ground powder, add water and cook till done.
Add salt.
Cook till water evaporates. Ensure that the chow chow is cooked but not overdone.

Chow Chow can be substituted with Brinjal, Capsicum, Ridge Gourd.
