Capsicum Curry


Capsicum -5 medium
Groundnut - 1/4 cup
Coconut - 1/2 piece copra
Onion - 1 large
Jeera - 2 tsp
Dhania seeds - 1 tbsp
Tamarind paste - 1/4 tsp
Turmeric - pinch
Garlic - 6 pods, Ginger - small piece
Chillie powder/Salt - according to taste
Roast the groundnuts. Dehusk. Make a fine dry powder with garlic and copra.
Take a little oil add jeera and dhania seeds, add onion and saute till brown and grind to paste.
Take a wok, add some oil, add cut capsicum, saute
Add the paste and a little water to cook
Add turmeric and the tamarind paste
When semi cooked add the powder, chillie powder, salt to taste and cook till completely done.
Consistency - with little gravy. Good with mixed vegetable rice and best with rotis.
