Ajwain ki Puri - Puffed bread with Carom seeds

Ajwain or Carom seeds have a very strong flavour.  But when added in small quantities to certain dishes, the flavour that it imparts is amazing.  While puris can be enjoyed without any added ingredient, I must tell you to try this little twist.  I found this on

Wheat flour - 1 cup ( or a mix of wheat flour and all purpose flour)
Ajwain - carom seeds - 1/4 tsp ( you could perhaps add a wee bit more - but do not go overboard)
Semolina ( Rava) - 2 tbsp
Chilie powder - to taste
Salt to taste
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp

Oil for deep frying

Make a stiff dough with the above ingredients with a little bit of water
Make equal balls of the dough
Roll them into small circles
Fry them in hot oil

Have them hot - seen here with dal with spring onions
