Rava Ladoo

Four easy dishes that were made for Deepavali - the festival of lights.
Bombay Rava ( Wheat semolina) 1 cup
Sugar – ¾ cup
Cashewnuts – 50 gms
Raisins – 50 gms
Cardamom – 3-4 powder fine ( optional)
Ghee – ¼ cup

Dry roast the rava
Cool and grind to a fine powder
Powder the sugar also to a fine powder.
Add the broken pieces of cashew and raisins.
Powdered cardamom ( optional)
Pour in warm melted ghee.
Blend in well and make the round balls or ladoos while mixture is still warm.



  1. Wonderful...I've seen this posted so much lately. But yours describes how to do it so much better. Any trouble getting it to stick together?
