Sunday Lunch



our menu today was - Rice, Mulangi/onion/drumstick sambar, Cabbage curry, carrot curry, salad, papad, curd . Dessert - banganpalli mango
Carrot curry - the fa way
Ingredients:
Carrots - about 6, peeled and diced into decent sized cubes.
Green chillies - atleast 5 - cut into 1/4" pieces
Dhania powder - 2 tsps
Coconut - 1/8 cup grated.
Heat a pan, add about 2 tbsp oil, urad dhal and mustard seeds.
When the mustard spluters, add green chillies and saute for a while
Add cut carrot, saute again.
Add turmeric powder, dhania powder and water. Cover and cook awhile.
Add grated coconut and salt.
Check to see if the carrot is cooked ( do not make it very soft)
Add finely diced corriander leaves. If required lace with a little lime juice ( optional)
A great way to have carrots if you are fed up of eating them raw!! Not exactly healthy but very tasty.

    On friday ashu made rasam and bhaggi's aloo curry.

    On saturday he made bhisibhele.

    All these from the recipes on the site!!! And they tasted just as good as what you make ma!!
